FAQs

Race Start

Where do I get my race number from?

All race numbers and timing chips will be available from the registration team on the day of the event from 3pm. Please arrive in plenty of time to collect your number and timing chip. All runners must wear the number on the front of their vest. No number or no chip = no time recorded!

Are there toilets & a cafe?

There will be Portable toilets available around the start finish area and public toilets open until 7pm at the Visitor Centre and other toilets next to Mapperley Reservoir car park (on the course) approximately 1.3 miles from the Visitor Centre. The Ramblers Coffee Shop next to the Visitor Centre will be open until approx 5pm for (very nice) drinks and cakes (for last minute carbo loading maybe)

Are there drinks stations?

Water will be available at 2.8, 5, 7.8 and 10 miles. Feel free to carry a plastic bottle but we ask that if you need to discard it please carry it to a drinks station before dropping it.

Where can I park my car?

Car parking is at Shipley Park Visitor Centre, Slack Lane, Heanor. There should be ample car parking. Please be aware that other users of the park will be sharing the car park, so drive carefully and watch out for cyclists, horses, dogs and young children.

We are working to see if we can improve the queues for tickets that can form by providing parking tickets when collecting race numbers - final instrauctions will be sent out prior to the race.
